White Knight Appliances : Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all offers, orders and transactions via the White Knight Appliances Website. They do not affect your statutory rights. White Knight Appliances may amend the terms and conditions without prior notice. Please take the time to read and understand these Terms and Conditions.

Sales Contract

By completing and submitting the Electronic Order Form you are making an offer to purchase goods which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract subject to these Terms and Conditions. The contract will be made under English law and subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.

We take all reasonable steps to ensure the display of items for sale on the White Knight Appliances website is correct, however, sometimes items may be out of stock, or published information inaccurate. In these cases we reserve the right to cancel your order and issue a full refund even if you have received order conformation.

At checkout, all input information can be cleared or cancelled by clicking inside the field boxes and clicking the “x” on the right. By clicking submit, input information will be sent to White Knight Appliances.

Your Offer to Purchase (payment) will be acknowledged by way of a Receipt of Order. This will confirm the product(s) you wish to purchase. Receipt of Orders are sent to the email address provided at the time of making your order. If you do not receive a Receipt of Order within 24 hours of completing the online order form, please contact us on sales@whiteknightdryers.co.uk stating your name, address and order number if you have one.

Once your Receipt of Order has been authorised by White Knight appliances an Order Confirmation email will be sent, confirming that your order has been processed by us and is ready to be dispatched. Attached to your Order Confirmation will be a copy of these Terms and Conditions. Order Confirmations are usually received within 1 business day of your Offer to Purchase (payment). Delivery information will be provided in the Order Confirmation. (Please refer to Delivery information below)

The legally binding contract of sale is formed when the product(s) is/are dispatched.

While a Credit or Debit Card may be debited prior to the Contract been formed, if the order is ultimately rejected, a refund will be issued.

 

Prices and Payment

All prices are in UK (£) Pounds Sterling and include VAT at the current rate. Prices may change without notice. This includes increases or decreases. All Prices include delivery to the UK Mainland, with some exclusions. For information on the exclusions please refer to the Delivery section below.

White Knight Appliances offer a secure encrypted  online payments system, accepting all major Credit and Debit cards (excluding American Express). If you are having difficulty using the online payment system, please call our Sales Team who will be able to assist with your order on 01422 849 707. Please note we do not take payments over the phone.

Delivery

White Knight Appliances offer delivery to the UK Mainland Only. We do not deliver to Ireland, Northern Ireland, or off shore Islands, and other areas accessed by Boat or Ferry. White Knight Appliances will not deliver outside of the UK Mainland.

The cost of delivery is included in all the prices stated on the website. Surcharges may apply to some areas. Where a surcharge applies, you will be given the option to pay the surcharge or cancel your order. White Knight Appliances will not deliver outside of the UK Mainland.

Wherever possible, it is the intention of White Knight Appliances to deliver the following items in the timescales listed below.

  • Full Size Tumble Dryers, Washing Machines, Fridge and Freezers 1-4 working days. Delivery is 1-4 working days. This excludes Bank Holidays and Weekends. You will be called directly to book your delivery so please provide a phone number at checkout. You will be given an estimated delivery time slot for your delivery via text and you will be able to use the tracking link to track the location of the driver on the delivery day. Deliveries are 7am-7pm 2-person deliveries, the carriers will bring the item inside your property for you.
  • Spin Dryers, Vacuums, Hot Plates/Warmers, Hobs and other small items  1-3 working days. We dispatch every working day via ParcelForce 24/48. If you leave a mobile number at checkout you will be set up for delivery text notifications and will receive a delivery time slot on the morning of the delivery day in most areas. The carriers will not call prior to drop off. If you are out at the time of delivery a card will be left. Please call the number on the card if you miss delivery to re-arrange delivery. If you have issues with delivery, please contact your local ParcelForce depot by phone or ourselves by email.
  • All deliveries are to ground floor doorstep locations only. Carriers are not insured to take any product inside a property, beyond the door threshold or up stairs. All products require a signature upon delivery. Please take time to check your goods carefully. By signing for the goods you are accepting responsibility for them, acknowledging they have been received and are in good condition.

These delivery timescales are subject to the customer providing accurate information. Not supplying an up to date contact number, or incorrect address may result in a delay or your order being cancelled.

Whilst it is our intention to maintain these delivery times, sometimes this is out of our control. We offer approximate dates for delivery and shall not be held liable for any loss, damages, costs, or expenses incurred by you, due to a delay in the delivery of goods. Do not book any fitting of products prior to having the product in your possession. Services other than those offered by White Knight Appliances, cannot be reimbursed.

If you have any concerns over the condition of the goods you have received, write this on the delivery note prior to signing, or call our Sales Team on 01422 849 707. White Knight Appliances will not be held liable for any damages, including marks, scratches and dents, which have not been noted on the delivery note at the time of delivery.

Where a delivery cannot be made within 30 days of purchase, providing reasonable attempts have been made by the customer to receive the goods, a refund will be issued to the customer.

Accuracy of Information

Gallery Pictures are for illustration purposes only, colours and styles of the appliances can differ slightly from the Gallery Picture, including shades and finishes. Whilst White Knight Appliances endeavours to provide up-to-date and accurate information on our products, we cannot guarantee complete accuracy at all times. Please note  we have the right to reserve a dimension discrepancy of: +/- 1 % on any length, width or depth of any product and a weight discrepancy of +/-3%.  Therefore we advise all users to take the appropriate action to check information on the website before purchase. White Knight Appliances shall not be held accountable for any discrepancies.

In the event of inaccurate information being displayed White Knight Appliances, we shall reserve the right to cancel or refuse any orders stating an incorrect price or delivery date regardless of whether or not the order has been confirmed. If your credit or debit card has already been charged when the error is discovered then a credit will be issued for the amount of the incorrect price.

Availability

In the unlikely event of a product you have ordered not being in stock, we will reimburse you the full amount you have paid within 1 business day of you asking for your order to be cancelled. White Knight Appliances shall not be held responsible to pay for any associated services booked and charges paid by the customer prior to the goods being in their physical possession.

Check goods

Please take time to check your goods carefully, if you notice a problem this must be reported to the drivers who must photograph any damage immediately. By signing for the goods you are accepting responsibility for them, acknowledging they have been received and are in good condition. If you have any concerns over the condition of the goods you have received, write this on the delivery note prior to signing, or contact our Sales Team by email: sales@whiteknightdryers.co.uk. White Knight Appliances will not be held liable for any damages, including marks, scratches and dents which have not been noted on the delivery note at the time of delivery. If your item is being delivered via ParcelForce, please refuse delivery if you see noticeable damage or contact us directly.

We advise customers to retain their packaging should the item need to be returned. Additional packaging is charged at £15 should it need to be sent out for a return

Faulty goods

White Knight products: We will offer either a repair, exchange or refund if the fault occurs within 30 days of delivery. If the fault with your product occurs within its guarantee period (see table below) we will offer you a prompt repair service (see exclusions below). In all cases we reserve the right to inspect the product and verify the fault.

English Electrical and Thomas products: We can accept a return for full refund if the item arrives faulty/develops a fault within the first 28days. Returns are free in this case but you will need to ensure the item is fully packaged. If you need to arrange a return, please contact us directly either on our contact form or by emailing: sales@whiteknightdryers.co.uk You will need to include your original order number in you email as well as the reason for the return.

Damages 

If your goods arrive damaged you must inform us within 3 days of arrival.

Guarantees and Warranties

English Electrical products Guarantees/warranty: These products come with a 1year manufactures warranty. You can register your guarantee by calling 0333 772 6091 or online at: https://englishelectric.warrantyonline.co.uk If your item develops a fault after the 28day return period and you wish to make a claim, please contact the English Electrical warranty team directly on: 0333 772 6091.

Thomas Guarantees/warranty These products come with a 1year manufactures warranty. You do not need to register your guarantee but you do need to keep your receipt as proof of purchase. If your item develops a fault and you wish to make a claim, please contact us directly either on our contact form or by emailing: sales@whiteknightdryers.co.uk You will need to include your original order number in you email as well as a description of the issue and how it developed.

All White Knight products on the White Knight Appliances website come with either a full 12 or 24 month Manufacturers Guarantee (see table below). We recommend you register your guarantee upon receipt of your item. Your guarantee is an addition to your purchase and does not affect your statutory right. Your guarantee will come included in your product. Please call 333 577 0011 for guarantees/warranty (for White Knight machines purchased during or after 2021).

 

Guarantee Conditions.

  1. The guarantee is only applicable if proof of purchase, for example a sales receipt, can be provided.
  2. The product must be used in the UK.
  3. The product must be used in a normal domestic purpose. Please note: the products we sell are not for commercial use, or for use outside or in outbuildings such as garages and outhouses, or areas where the temperature falls below five degrees.
  4. The guarantee does not cover or include accidental damage, or damage caused by misuse or foreign objects.
  5. The customer must not attempt to repair the product themselves. Any attempts will void the guarantee.

 

14 Day Cancellation Period

 

You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of goods being in your physical possession or the possession of a person whom you asked White Knight Appliances to deliver the goods to. You must inform White Knight Appliances of your wishes to cancel the Contract of Sale within 14 days. We advise all customers to notify us of their wish to cancel in writing by using the model Cancellation Form below, sending this either via the contact form on the contact page of the website at www.whiteknightdryers.com/contact, or by sending an email to sales@whiteknightdryers.co.uk It is the customers responsibility to have durable proof that their intention to cancel was provided to White Knight Appliances within 14 days of physical possession. Below is the information we will require in order to process your cancellation. Cancelations after dispatch will incur return charges.

Return Costs

All customers will be expected to pay the cost of returning the goods unless the goods received were faulty or damaged. The costs of returning the goods including VAT are listed below

  • All English Electrical and Thomas products: £25.00
  • Full Size Dryers, Dishwashers, Washing Machines, Hostess Trolleys, Refrigeration:£54 return charge for most areas. The charge is £65 for Scottish orders and £84 for Scottish highland orders.
  • Spin Dryers, Side Servers, Hot Plates/Warmers: £25.00

 

Exemptions

You may withdraw from the Contract of Sale at any point up to the time the Order Confirmation has been sent. There will be no return charges for any customers who withdraw their offer of purchase when it has not yet been confirmed/ dispatched by White Knight Appliances. If you’re in any doubt as to whether a return fee is payable please contact us immediately. For more information on when Order Confirmations are sent, please review “Sale Contract” above.

 

Cancellation Refunds

All associated return costs including surcharges will be deducted from the total sale price paid at checkout prior to a refund been issued. Refunds are issued by the same method as payment.

Refunds by card take up to 3 business days to show back on the card you paid with.

 

Diminishing the Value of the Goods

Deductions shall be made where the value of the goods has been diminished. We advise all customers to carefully unpack the goods, retaining any Guarantee forms, Instruction Booklets, Accessories, Screw Packs or any other associated “free” or “included” products. Where ever possible do not open any packaging other than what is necessary to establish the nature and characteristics of the product. If you have made any adaptions to the product we will not be able to offer a return.
